Cinquain
Cinquain is a writing strategy that uses poetry. This strategy helps students consider a mathematical concept in its entirety, rasp the main ideas related to that concept, and summarize this information briefly. Cinquain is a five-line poetic structure. Writing a cinquain helps students develop the procedural knowledge that is needed to connect topics within mathematics and to real life situations.
