Four Square
The four square technique is a graphic organizer that can be made on an index card by making four squares. The teacher provides the students with the word and the students write it in the top left box. Then the teacher explains what the word is and the students write down what the word means in the bottom left box. The students are then going to think of a lightbulb word that will remind them what the definition is and write that word in the top right box. In the final, bottom right box, the students will draw a picture or write an equation, or some kind of visual that will help them to remember the definition of the word.
